28th Annual Brampton Invitational Cashspiel -- Registration Opens

Brampton, ON, June 14, 2010 - The Brampton Curling Club is pleased to host the 28th annual Brampton Invitational Cashspiel from Monday, October 25, 2010 through to Sunday, October 31, 2010.

The 2010 spiel will feature a 32 team triple knock-out for the Men's event and a 20 team round robin for the Women's event with 4 pools of five teams. ALL games will be 8 ends. Teams compete for a total purse of $33,800 (assuming a full draw).

Registration for the 2010 spiel opens on Monday, June 14th. Entries from last year's qualifiers (i.e., quarter-finalists) will be given priority until noon on June 21st, 2010. Returning teams must include the skip and at least one other team member, or all 3 "non-skip" team.

This year's cashspiel promises to be an exciting event that will feature top notch competition. The Brampton Curling Club looks forward to hosting you and your team in October.

The Brampton Curling Club offers a variety of leagues for men, women and youth – ages 7 to 87. Over the years the club has grown and now enjoys a combined men’s, women and youth membership of almost 500. Our mission is "To provide local access to the sport of curling for people of all ages and abilities in a safe environment through the leadership and assistance of community volunteers." Established in 1880, the club is member run by a volunteer Board of Directors.
